Missed out yet another day cus my sleeping cycle is a mess!

I need to finish this funny OS business of mine soon, i aim to have the laptop set up and ready by the end of today... Oh yes today is monday, this means workouts. But oh well i guess while my laptop is setting up i've deserved a bit of break, league of legends is installed on my main so just one game... at least while i re-install the drivers for my laptops windows.

Crushing defeat because of a leaver =(

It seems i may get a slight delay on my laptop's installation since i need to be on skype. In the meantime i guess it's my desktop's turn.

Third Attempt: Windows + Cygwin/x or Xming
Status: In Progress
Result: Let's see if i'll be satisfied with this...

Fourth Attempt: Windows + Virtualbox' Seamless Mode
Status: Not In Progress

Final Attempt: KVM(Switch) or Streaming
Status: If all else is unsatisfactory i will try streaming or buy a KVM switch, i'm likely to buy the KVM switch and never try streaming.

Lets see... next in line is Cygwin/X...

I finished setting up my laptop's windows partition, now all i have to do is reinstall linux too, configure a VM to obot from the physical windows installation and then i can finally have skype 6 + teamspeak3 on my laptop. A lot of trouble i'm going through just so i don't have to use skype 4.0 don't you think? well... i don't wanna use 4.0 god damnit.

This is all i use the laptop for, Skype, Teamspeak3(client, not server, server is a dedicated machine from the stone age) and google chrome, i also have a dictionary installed if my english gets rusty which happens from time to time. I used to use it for playing movies on the TV, but now i find it a lit simpler to just play it off my main machine since that way i don't have to transfer the files to the laptop to play. I guess i could stream over LAN but.. that's just not how i roll.

Well anyways, now i've installed Cygwin/X with openbox (but done nothing more) on my desktop, seems to run impressively well too, installing it was as easy as installing any windows application really. What's more is that i've also reinstalled linux (or the base anyways, i haven't set up X or anything) on my laptop again, seems like it'll all be decided tomorrow at some point.

The real problem with using Cygwin/X is really only one thing. If i'm gonna use a solution like running X on windows, i want to run it on-top of or instead of Explorer, however i still want to use the explorer file manager which means that i would have to disable the taskbar somehow. I assume in windows 8 this would be a trivial task, but in windows 7 the taskbar is actually an important part of the OS.

Luckily i also remembered to do my exercises. Barely. Well, i will do them now every monday, wednesday and friday (they're only bodyweight excersises and also only 2 per day, so they don't consume a lot of time except for the fact that i need to shower after them sometimes)

However, i don't see a need to create another blog for listing my exercises, so even if it isn't in any way related to what this blog is for, i will post them.

Monday Exercises:
(Wall)Pushups: 90
Knee-Raises: 50

There, 3 lines, doesn't take up much space right? you may wonder why i'm doing wall pushups, well the philosophy is to start pathetically small, then gradually do more and more every week, when you reach X (X usually being 3x50) then you've earned a rank up and can upgrade to another level of exercise (so from wall pushup i go to doing whatsitcalled pushups where i find a waist-high object and do pushups on that, standard pushups are step 3 i think, but well by the time i reach the end of that and can do 3x50 pushups... that's not weak anymore, and it will only take about 1-2 months to get a rank-up usually. Also wall pushups? not as easy as you think if you've never done them (correctly anyways). They're kind of brutal, this is not my first day, i think on my first day i barely made it to 30 wall pushups when i figured out how to do them right, i'm just restarting my program (i was already at step 2 of pushups early last year). So i'll probably pick up the wall pushups super fast until i've got back to the other pushups.

Also, knee-raises sound relaatively easy as well, but i'd callt that exercise brutal, the first time i did it i only made 10. However there's a trick to these exercises, these low low level exercises train muscles and joints that are normally pretty weak, once you've trained them once it seems it takes them longer to become wak again than bigger muscles or the sturdier joints. If anyone wants to try this badassness, the guide is called Convict Conditioning.
