Well well, sadly i got caught up today in watching an Anime called kingdom and ended up doing nothing at all, linux work is still next in line, all game development is on hold until i get that done, i don't know if i'll get it done in a day, or a week. But i know it'll take at least a day, knowing the perfectionist in me.
I will however put a deadline on it. The deadline is sunday of next week. That way i won't spend half a month or more on something like this.
I also realized something cool that i should do. I just realized the best way to get me to do something, and keep doing it every week. It's dedicating days to them.
For example, when i'll start working out which is when i'll have that fucking pullup bar, i will work out on monday, wednesday and fridays. Those days are dedicated to doing at least that, and as long as i do my workout for each day i can be satisfied with my day.
I've dedicated sundays to playing a new game, every sunday. So then, what were my other goals?
Learning japanese was one, I can dedicate tuesdays and thursdays to this when i want to start on it. This leaves me saturday for yet another task when i remember what.
If i get more things i want to do by myself (like self study of a subject... maths would be a good idea.... hmm...) then i can just add them to days. For example it's not exactly intense to play a new game for at least an hour every sunday, so i could add something to that day, or when i do physical exercises, i could for example dedicate one of these days to shaving myself too.
The only way to make me do stuff and keep doing it is not dedicating myself to doing it at a specific time or date, but specific week-days. That is the key i've been looking for (FOR SO FUCKING MANY YEARS...) for the first time i'm 100% sure i've found it.
Damn, this Kingdom anime is good, i mean i've seen some good stuff over and over, but the last time i got so deeply sucked into an anime from episode one... sheesh... i don't even remember! i'm fucking glued to this shit :O
