Hey wait, i've finished the magic part of the destruction tree! i'm done! finished! version 1.0! now all i have to do is creating better names later on when it actually comes to releasing stuff.
Oh hey i can feel my linux fever creeping up on me. This means that not long from now i'll dedicate at least an entire day into setting up and customizing linux.
There are really only 2 problems i have with linux.
1. It can't run all my games
Solution: Install a PCI(VGA)-Passthrough virtual machine using my dedicated gaming card on the VM and my 550 on the linux.
2. My sound drivers are broken, running speaker-test via alsa works fine. But any surround sound sent to alsa by 3rd party applications (pulseaudio, or just my music player) will be converted to stereo, it's a code problem, not a configuration
Solution: Not sure if one exists.
as you can see my number 1 problem can be solved. But that is NOT easy!
However this upcoming linux madness i sense is convenient, i want to use linux for work, it's more convenient than windows. But the problem is that setting up VGA-Passthrough is not easy, that's experimental tech. However i will need a virtual windows anyways to run articy, unless it can be run through wine. But i hear Wine can't run WPF. This makes me stop to wonder if it isn't possible to install windows inside of linux not as a virtual machine but as something like wine. I.e. i would install a program which creates a folder for C:/ drive, then i drop my existing windows installation into that folder, and i will be able to execute windows binaries (.exe) using this program as a dependency, this program would access the windows system files and use the original windows files (rather than new ones written by wine devs) to run program, thus using the work already done by microsoft rather than creating windows compatibility layer from scratch.
Hmm.
Well, tomorrow i guess is the day for that.
