Sleep!

I got it! my theory is that what caused my problems was extreme moisture (compared to what i'm used to) it's been raining over the last couple of days (rain that should have been snow, grrr) and because of that the air is probably more moist than usual, this means that cold is more cold than usual and hot is more hot than usual. Causing an effect that it's too hot underneath the duvet, and too cold outside of it. A solution to the problem is simply to deep-freeze the environment you're in and voila! you can fall asleep. That's my theory anyways, but it might just be that Jhwh was pissed. I don't believe in Jhwh though, but who knows.

I realized yesterday that i need to do a lot more concept work on the lore and Amodos itself as well as some gameplay mechanics like magic and skills before i even get to my next project (dungeon crawling as a Fel'du)

I need to create an actual timeline, there are some things i have planned, for example evolution of some monsters (some monsters are growing more intelligent than they were originally, and elves have even surpassed some major races in intelligence. Lamia are catching up, Mermaids/Sirens, Dwarves and Gnomes, Dryads, Rat-people(unnamed, concept is rattkin), etc... they all need to have a certain level of intelligence that can be real close, or match up to a humans at birth, even if they're classified as monsters and are fewer in number than major races.) in fact, some have begun moving into the cities of other races so you might find a powerful magician lamia that can teach you spells, or a dark elf thief that can teach you a few tricks, etc.

I already placed the lore of squids into squid/human hybrid. Recognizing the amount of things i have to do during and before completing Yrja's Torment, it's tempting to pause the development. This really would be easier if i had more people working with me. Hmm... I need to plan out my next couple of actions carefully. What to do and in what order. But today i took a much needed break from developing Amodos or Yrja's Torment. The headache from sleep deprivation still lingers. Tomorrow i should start reading The Asylum For Wayward Victorian girls as sort of study material. Possibly i should even try to read it all in one go, it's kind of unfortunate that i'm a slow reader, but i know it will pay off to read that. After that i should also play Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Metro: The Last Light...

Why should i be doing these things instead of continuing development and get back to finishing the conceptualizing? Because i can learn important things from all of these things, things that will come in use in the next handful of development stages.
