Artist!!

Wow, i can not believe it. An artist named LVUER has kindly offered to help me out with my work, and he is for now doing concept art for me. We've got nothing to show you just yet, but i think this is amazing! I  really look forward to working with him ^_^ Hopefully we'll stick together for a long time.

That is also the most motivational kick in the backside i've had since i started working, meaning i'll probably work twice as hard today as i have over the last week or so! (I've slacked too much =_=) and it does help that i got 9 hours of sleep for once. I chose the heater... It may have been noisy, it may have made sure i didn't sleep very "deeply" as such, but at least i slept. And not a moment too long either because as soon as i sat down in my chair i got a phone call.

Today i:

Decided the timeline between Yrja's Torment and (Codename) Riye's Game. Riye is a charcter from Yrja's Torment, and recently i realized that she was also perfect protagonist material for the Fel'du game. She both happens to be a Fel'du and in the general location i want the game to take place, and i also decided her role in (Codename) Unchained which is quite an important one, so using the "Fel'du" game to build up to that is pretty brilliant i think. The actual timeline in context with Unchained, and the universe lore however is not yet decided, but this is a step in the right direction i think.

I added "Flow Fragments" for Yrja's torment into the game. Making a complete high concept of the story's flow giving me an overview of what i want the player to feel as he experiences this story. the setting. How it starts, possible branches and how it ends. This one is really rather simple, i divided it into 7 chapters, a prologue, an epilogue and 4 chapters inbetween. The epilogue was a new addition because i felt that i really needed to "close" the story rather than leave it partially open by making a quick ending. Articy draft is a really really nice tool, it's incredibly comfortable to have an overview like this of my story, makes planning a lot easier.

If you're wondering, the prologue has already been done, and i put the game on hold halfway through "part 1" of chapter 1. The reason i put it on hold is imply that i need to create the locations it happens in from a lore and geography standpoint. This means i need to create one corner of Cestaria, one corner of Kalhiri, a part of Magdolon and one little location in Alfinil.

I also named some characters and locations that were unnamed. There's a lot more of that i'll need to do and i'll have to decide how many cities there will be per race, per continent, etc... oof... my brain will burst... and not just cities either, also villages/towns.

I added the gods to articy draft. That was some work, but the descriptions for them were improved, and Xandis got some more unique characteristic so that she isn't just an undead human female anymore, i think making her an undead elvish female is a step in the right direction. Now that i think of it we have no furry god, maybe Zinth should get some fur... just maybe...

I created and modified a lot of templates in articy draft, what this does is basically make it easier for me to get precise character information down into writing later on. One example of a template would be a D&D Character Sheet. I had to do this sooner or later, and i figured it just made sense to do it ASAP because this is one of the reasons i'm using this program in the first place!! At least in context to characters, i have a good idea of what info i'll want to have for most characters and what for some characters (i've got Figuritive character stats and RPG character stats, the former for characters you will never fight in an RPG style game or historical characters like Gods or Legends) in fact, character sheets from D&D and the like were helpful, i looked at them to make sure i wasn't forgetting anything important.

It honestly took a lot of brainjuce to make the templates, but it IS "futureproofing" that is it'll save me a lot of time to do it now rather than save it for later. I did some more stuff of course, but these are the highlights of the day.
